Hi! I am wondering if anyone has any experience with purchasing travel insurance for your trip to Israel. I did see a few companies online, but wondering if anyone has personal experience and can recommend one....Thanks!

We used Travelex when we traveled. All plans are great but the Travel Basic plan has very low coverage.

I used Allianz. It was free for my kids, so we only had to pay for dh and myself. It covered the tickets if we cant fly, medical, lost luggage among other things.

Unfortunately we made a claim. Our luggage was lost for 3 days. They covered all of our purchases. (we really purchased basics)

Try working through Squaremouth.com. I'm not sure that the correct word is broker, but that's how I view them. After you choose various filters, they show you multiple policies through different insurance companies that meet your needs.

My family and I have purchased policies through them for many trips. Although I have never made a claim, my DS has used the medical and hospitalization benefits on several trips, as well as changing his return ticket due to illness.

Before I discovered Squaremouth, I'd spend hours and hours checking competing companies. I'm totally pleased with Squaremouth.

We always buy through Epstein Insurance based out of Beitar Illit. They are extremely helpful, you tell them what you do and don't want/need, and they tell you your best option. They also follow up with you after your trip to see if you have any claims. I have always been very happy with their service. And by the way, you can call them until at least 11 pm, they work every night.
