It called park plaza lodge hotel on 6001 west 3rd street. It is very small but descent and not fancy. It is not expensive relative to LA

You are asking anonymously on the internet - double anonymously because you're not even using your username - so I'm not sure how much information you can realistically expect others to give out.

I would be suspicious of anyone who offers a back house or accepts it without some prior connection to the family... Especially when asking not only anonymously but imamother so we can't even PM you to check out references! As you can see, the LAers don't want to out themselves...
Ask the person you are visiting. Maybe they know someone you can stay with.

I live in this area however I don't have extra space - we r out growing this house. Many people here have back houses used for shabbos guests but it's not safe to give personal info like this to an anonymous person on the Internet. The hotel mentioned above is ok. I never went inside but live on the block and see nice cars parked there. It's across the street from a Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf (not the cholev yisroel one). Are you visiting someone here? You should ask them if they know someone with space for you.

Can I ask why you don't just contact the rabbi of the local shul? Soliciting an invitation on the Internet seems like a really bad idea for everyone involved.

I agree, this seems like a poor way to search.
Presumably if you're there for vacation, you can stay in a hotel.
And if you're there for other reasons, presumably whoever you know there can help you find a place in real life.
