If u work in an office, How many vacation days do u get?

Do u work in a small office where ur job is yours only or a large office where someone else can easily take over?

Can u use all your vacation days at once, or can u go away maximum a week at a time?

The law here is 10 vacation days (two working weeks)/year. Though I hear they just added another one? In any case, I'd be afraid to take two weeks off; I see what happens when I take one day!

My vacation days cover YT and that's it.
I can never go away for a week at a time.
I work chol hamoed and erev YT.
I work in a small office and it's not easy to replace me when I'm out. I have to schedule days off well in advance.

I get 7 vacation days (PTO) and 3 sick days. I work in a small office and while I have colleagues that can take over, they have their own workload, so it will be very hard.

I want to take 7 days in a row this year, which is something I've never done, but I'm afraid my colleague will be so mad.

We are a large office.
We all get 5 sick 5 vacation days as PTO.

Technically I can use all 10 in one shot if I want to but I would never do that as in my position I am the only person. I recently hired an assistant but there are only a few things she took over for me.

I used to have to use my vacation and sick days for YT and kids but Thank G-d this year I asked and received YT as PTO.

Large office, so yes, someone can cover for me while I'm out.
I get 5 weeks, plus we're closed between X-mas and New Years. (4 weeks for those who have been here fewer than 10 years.)
10 sick days. 4 personal days.
My company encourages us to use our vacation days. Usually people use no more than 2 weeks in a row, although some people have taken 3.
And a 4-week sabbatical every 10 years.

I know. I have it pretty good.

I work for a large company - but everyone really has their own tasks - we can cover for each other but its not the same as being there.

I started with 13 days PTO + 3 sick days. Then I used all for yomim tovim and worked chol hamoed and eruv yom tov and didn't go away.

I've been working there for 10 years so now have 23 days PTO + 3 sick days. Its plenty to take off all of yom tov, plus eruv, and still have 2 -3 days vacation in the summer. Still not enough to take off all the days my kids have off but much more doable.

When I take off a week for yom tov I'm still on call. They know I can't answer for 2 days. But then chol hamoed I take calls, troubleshoot, or work on 'emergencies'. I don't think it exists so much anymore to go completely offline for many days. Many of my coworkers respond to e-mails when on vacation. I"m guessing this would be specific to different types of work

Medium sized company, no coverage. I need to plan carefully so I get all my work done around yom tov and vacation times.

It's typical in my industry to start with three weeks of flexible vacation days and five or six legal holidays. You earn more vacation time with seniority; I currently get about five weeks, which covers all of the Jewish holidays plus some of the school breaks. Dh and I often take vacation days at different times to cover school vacations.

There are no set rules about vacation length. I have taken off for all of Pesach plus travel time, but not every year. Getting all my work for the month done in two weeks is harder than staying home!

Large firm so there's coverage but it's still really hard to take off due to responsibilities. I usually end up putting in overtime hours before vacation because my responsibilities still stand. And when I take off to be home I still take calls and answer emails.
2 weeks vacation and 3 sick days. YT paid but not chol hamoed. Only 2 legal holiday days off. After 5 years vacation increases to 3 weeks.

Large company, although my specific department is small. I get 20 vacation days a year, which goes up to 25 after working 5 years in the company (I think it's 5 but could be wrong). They will let you use 2 weeks at a time, and possibly longer if manager gives approval and they have coverage for you. After y"t, there's not many days left. I get 5 personal (can be used for anything) and 12 sick days too.

I work for a large company. We get 25 days a year (after five years of service) - that encompasses sick, vacation and personal. They also give us 9 holidays, 3 of which are floating, which means we can take them whenever we want. I always take off for all of Pesach, but work during Chol Hamoed Succos. I also take days here and there as I need, but don't usually take an entire week off or more at a time (though I could). There isn't really anyone who can do my work when I'm out, so I just try to make sure everything is well prepared before I take time off.
