My dd is 8 months old now and still cries a lot thru the night when I put her in the crib. She keeps waking up whenever she sleeps In the crib. She's much better in the carriage, but I don't like the idea of her sleeping in a carriage regularly. How can I make her more comfortable in the portacrib? Would a mattress pad or bumper set help? Anyone?

No bumpers! Not safe.
For comfort- make sure the mattress is comfortable, not too firm or too soft. Make sure the room is a comfortable temperature, and dark. Swaddle her in a soft cotton blanket. Keep noise levels down.

Do you have a real mattress for the crib or just the thin piece that comes with it?
Does your baby have reflux? She might be uncomfortable laying flat.
Try giving her a comfort item/lovey to sleep with. It works even better if you sleep with it a few nights so that it smells like you.

I saw that my babies slept better in my bed. So I put a flat pillow in the crib. They cuddle against it.

My kids love/d an adult pillow because they have mild reflux. Could that be an issue?
It's not terribly safe but I do what works.

If she sleeps with a blanket or lovey, stuff it under your shirt for a while, or even better overnight. It'll smell like you and will be soothing

My babies hated sleeping in a port a crib. They only liked the "real" crib with a real mattress

My baby too. He couldn't seem to get comfortable in his pack n play.
Do you have a real crib with a thicker mattress?

No ideas but same situation. 8 month old only wants to sleep in stroller so we buckle her in and leave her because that's the only way she will sleep the night. following....
