I always served eggs, scrambled or fried, with roll or bagel. I found it a easy enough and filling lunch both for myself and dh and the kids.
For some reason, fresh rolls aren't readily available where I live, and scrambled eggs alone is kind of boring and lonely looking.
Also, I'm not interested in chopping or cooking for lunch on Fridays. Besides if it's real simple.
What do you serve for lunch on Friday?

For kids; frozen pizza or potato kugel
For adults: salad with either tuna, eggs or fish and crackers or kugel

We often eat scrambled eggs in tortillas, if you're still interested in eggs.

Frozen pizza or sometimes fresh from the pizza shop. I get home from work and don't have time to prep anything. Sometimes it's just cereal or peanut butter sandwiches. Later in the day when I take the potatoe kugel out of the oven I give everyone kugel. Anyone that's hungry is welcome to take fruit to snack on

I usually make a really big potato kugel in the morning and most of my kids eat that. Or else they can have a yogurt or cereal. Sometimes I'll put up pasta.

Finger food, usually. Either cheese borekas or chicken fingers... they just kind of graze... they've technically already had lunch at school.

My school aged child eats lunch in school like the rest of the week. My toddler eats deli turkey, cheese slices, whatever dh gets him when they do the errands he needs to do.

Do most schools serve lunch on Friday? My kids get home at 12:15, hungry and cranky. And still noshing on their shabbos party (that's instead of lunch...)

No idea what other schools do, but my kids have 2 pm dismissal, so yes, they have lunch there Fridays.

I have one who has school from 8-10:30 and another 8-11:45, no lunch in school on Friday. My others have no school.

I'm Sephardic so I always make rice for Shabbat.
I make 2 batches, for Friday and Shabbat
For Friday I add defrosted frozen peas, after its cooked.
And then I serve either scrambled eggs, or if I made meatballs I make extra.
When I make kugel, usually veggie, I'll make an extra for lunch.
When the kids were little I made them creamcheese or peanut butter sandwiches with some cut up veggies as soon as they came from from school (they ate lunch in school) and then in the afternoon they ate some rice and peas with whatever I served next to it.
Sometimes I would make extra of Thursday night dinner which was usually baked ziti or lasagna. I would make 2, 1 for Thursday night and 1 for Friday and Motze Shabbat we would eat the leftovers.
Basically lunch is more in the afternoon and more like Toamecha

I usually make an extra pan of potato kugel for Friday lunch.
Many times macaroni and cheese.
Sometimes cold cut sandwiches when we buy salami or pastrami for shabbos.
We used to buy cholent at a takeout store near us for lunch.

My kids used to have a lunch. Now we have to give stuff. I sent leftovers. Some parents just send nosh. I prefered a real hot, meaty meal for obvious reasons

2pm? Where do you live? Shabbat starts at 4pm now that it's winter. I can't imagine my kids only ending at 2pm.
