Looking at the "supper in a wrap" thread, and starting to get hungry! the problem is, we can't have wheat, and I can't find any spelt wraps in local stores (jerusalem.. any suggestions?)

is there anything I can substitute for the wrap? not bread, something light just like a wrap.

am I asking for too much?!

Its really not difficult to make your own. Just google spelt tortilla recipe or spelt wraps. I've not made spelt wraps but ive made regular ones. Its just flour water and maybe oil.

Spelt is not wheat. It does contain gluten, and is a cousin to wheat. Same genus, different species. If gluten is the problem, spelt may not be a viable alternative to wheat. If the problem is something other than gluten, spelt may be a perfect alternative.

Flax wraps made in the microwave
http://www.food.com/recipe/fla.....63437

I haven't tried these, but I use to make flax bread in the microwave, more or less the same ingredients.

Tonight I'm trying to make an egg white omlete and making it thin to use as wrap for spinach salad.

I've also seen cauliflower wraps. Like cauliflower crust pizza, but smaller.
