Something juicy and flavorful that can be made in oven or stovetop (we don't have a BBQ)
And REAL homemade - please don't tell me "buy this-or-that mix and so-and-so sauce"

I always make the one from lubavitch cookbook... I don't have the measurements off hand but the ing are ground meat, eggs, matzah meal, salt, pepper, ketchup, water and mustard and you broil it for 15 min then turn it over and leave it for another 5... they're really good!

I do ground beef, eggs, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, bread crumbs, ketcup and alot of fried onions. I bake or fry it.

This is my favorite burger recipe! (My husband is a happy man when I make this for dinner. LOL ) I often make just the burgers, without the minted mayo & cucumbers in apple cider vinegar, & serve it with the standard burger toppings: ketchup, pickles, lettuce, & tomatoes. If you feel like taking the extra time to make the minted mayo, it's delicious! An important step is toasting the buns in the pan that you cook the burgers in - the bread gets an amazing flavor. (It's fattening, but worth it!)

Moroccan Hamburgers (from Kosher by Design Short on Time)

2 pounds ground beef or ground lamb
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon ground coriander (the first time I made this I didn't have coriander so I omitted it & it was fine)
1 teaspoon fine sea salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (I use less)
2 pinches of crushed red pepper flakes

1⁄2 English (hothouse) cucumber, thinly sliced
2-3 tablespoons olive oil
1⁄2 red onion, cut into thin slices
1 1⁄2 tablespoons apple-cider vinegar
1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint leaves
1⁄2 cup mayonnaise
6 hamburger buns

Place the ground meat into a medium bowl. Add the oregano, ground coriander, salt,
black pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well. Form into 6
patties.

Heat a grill pan or medium skillet over medium-high heat. Add the oil and heat until
almost smoking. Add the patties and cook 5 minutes per side. Try not to move the
burgers around so you will get nice grill marks and a good sear. Re-oil the pan as
necessary if working in batches.

Meanwhile, place the thinly sliced cucumber and red onions into a medium bowl. Toss
with the vinegar and allow to stand for a few minutes.

In a small bowl, mix the chopped mint into the mayonnaise. Set aside.

When you remove the burgers from the pan, place the buns, cut-side down, into the
pan. This will toast them and at the same time they will pick up nice flavor.

Spread both sides of the toasted buns with the minted mayonnaise. Top each
Moroccan burger with a few slices of the cucumber and red onion.

Squish meat into balls. Sprinkle salt and pepper.
Anything else is unnecessary.

Go ask your local butcher for 80-20% meat and fat mix add some salt and pepper and your good to go simple and delicious
