big fan of davids bridal here. you can get really pretty things that only need a shell to make it tznius for great prices. Im sure they have great sales now during the holiday season.If you dont have one near you or dont have the time to go shopping, u can order a few different ones online and return the ones you dont like. Thats what I did, and it worked out great!

I'm a big believer in not being embarrassed of financial rough patches. Everyone hits then at some point. The giving others do for you can create or solidify friendships. You are doing a chessed for others by letting them help you.
They won't tell anyone.
Don't deprive yourself because of your pride! Mommy3b2c seems to be a considerate and respectful person.

I know you said you don't havre time to go out,
But if you live in Brklyn you need of of toMacys in KIngs plaza.
DD just got a gorgeous long navy dress Adrianna Papel for $35.
Lace on top chiffon tiered bottom.
She found. 5 dresses to try on in less than 30 min.
And she's hard to fit, sz16, but only 4'10.
She looks gorgeous, and the dress slims her down.
It cost me $50 to get it hemmed
I'm sure you'll find something there.
If you go Tuesday they are having a big sale, and all the "holiday" gowns will be on sale.
