I am looking for the recipe that was advertised recently for fried ice cream. It was something to the effect of ice cream, cream cheese and butter mixed, and then wrapped in a pastry dough square and fried....
If anyone can post the exact recipe, I would greatly appreciate it.
TIA

Ice Cream Donuts:
INGREDIENTS:
▫1 1/2 cups Mehadrin Premium vanilla ice cream
▫4 oz J&J cream cheese
▫3 tbsp Mehadrin butter, softened
▫3 tbsp confectioners sugar
▫12-15 3" pastry squares
▫1 tsp cinnamon
▫1 tbsp sugar
▫1 tbsp oil
DIRECTIONS:
In a bowl, whisk the ice cream, cream cheese and butter until well combined.
Freeze well until solid.
Combine sugar and cinnamon.
Spread the pastry squares on a lined cookie sheet. Brush some oil over it and then sprinkle cinnamon and sugar.
Heat a generous amount of oil in a pot, approx 2 inches.
While the oil is getting hot, place a small scoop of ice cream mixture in the center of each pastry square. Wrap the edges of dough over the ice cream, creating tightly sealed balls, and drop them into the boiling oil. Let them sizzle until golden brown.
Top donuts with your favorite topping, syrup, nuts, chip... and serve.
Feel the creamy goodness oozing into your mouth as you take a bite. Enjoy!
Yield: 12-15 Ice Cream Donuts
