Has anyone ever tried to make tiny "wacky cakes" (the Depression-era one-bowl, pareve cake recipe, super cheap and super easy) in a madeleine mold? I know these would not be traditional madeleines, but I thought the simplicity may make it worth it.
Also, has anyone tried to take that same batter and fry it using a piping bag like a funnel cake? If you have not tried it, do you think it is a good idea or would make a giant mess?
