I was at a sheva bracha and they served a chicken cutlet with a sauce that had mainly sauted onion. Anyone know what I am talking about and have a recipe?

Double Breaded Onion Chicken
Sauce:
4 onions
1/3 cup oil
4 T soy
1/3 cup brown sugar
Saute onions in oil and add soy and brown sugar. Mix well over low flame. Pour onion mixture over the cutlets. Bake at 350 for 1 hour covered.

I notice your recipe is called Double Breaded. Are you supposed to bread the cutlets first or is it fine to just throw sauce over raw cutlets and bake.

Full Recipe:
Cutlets
Egg
Salt
Pepper Paprika
Bread Crumbs
Sauce:
4 onions
1/3 cup oil
4 T soy
1/3 cup brown sugar
Mix egg with spices - double dip cutlets - egg, bread crumbs, egg, bread crumbs. Saute onions in oil and add soy and brown sugar. Mix well over low flame. Pour onion mixture over the cutlets. Bake at 350 for 1 hour covered.

I just made a similar recipe it came out amazing. Dip cutlets in flour and lay in pan.
Saute lot of onions then add to onions duck sauce, garlic, little soy sauce, and pepper. Pour sauce over floured cutlets. Bake 350 covered 50 min.
