My husband and I are planning a pilot trip to Israel this Nov/Dec time.
I was looking for some advice from people who've 'been there and done that'!
how many days did you spend in each town?
how did you find where to go?
Did you rent a car and go from place to place?
How did you find places to stay at each stop? NbN contacts? hotels?
I realize this is vague but there were no recent postings about people making aliyah that I saw.
Thanks!

Do you have children? Are they school aged? Your pilot trip will depend on what you need to focus on.

Pilot trip done. Very successful.
Our kids are pretty much grown up. We've got plans for everyone.
All is good BH.

How exciting! What town did you pick?
May your Aliyah be easy and smooth, your paperwork in order, and your movers not break your stuff.

My husband and I are planning a pilot trip and would love to hear your tips and tricks, and what you found the most helpful! How far in advance of making Aliyah did you go? Were you happy with that timeframe? Wishing you much hatzlacha in this next chapter!

Decided to do this in May, changed minds in May. Decided to def do this in June. Life happened. Pilot trip in Nov/Dec. We met the Jewish Agency last week (Jan) and are waiting for approval. Hope to leave by April/May. Unfortunately need to wait until after Pesach.
We did a lot of online research before our trip. Contacted the people on the NbN community profile pages. NbN had great recommendations of communities too. Rented a car so we could go all over the place. Met our NbN rep in person which was great!
We have a shipping company coming this week to give our first quote...
I had all our documents in order, very organized, that took time to compile. I bought a zippered pouch folder so each family member has a section - there's quite a bit to keep track of.
I'm told once we have approval we apply for an oleh visa then contact the NbN flight dept about flights .... we're not up to that part yet
I try not to think of everything at once, it's too overwhelming....
