Hi,
I was offered an interview for a position at yeshiva haor beacon. I was wondering if anyone knows what the pay is like for assistants, work environment, hours. What type of disabilities they cater to. Do they run year round?

You should specify whether it is haor beacon boys or haor beacon girls.

It's been awhile, but a few years ago, the boys building was more emotionally disturbed students and the girls had more cognitive, physical deficits.

Last I heard they only had boys, did they expand or is it a different school?

Never been to the school but I did have a conversation with the person who runs it when I was exploring options for someone and she gave a very positive impression. As far as I'm aware it is a regular Sept-June program, their students don't have the intensity of needs that usually gets 12 months.

I think they were both ivdu schools and now the boys/ girls have nothing to do with each other anymore. This was approx. 8 years ago. Things have probably changed since then.
