DS persuaded me to buy a package of chicken gizzards, because it seemed interesting to him. The problem is, I have no idea what to do with them!
Please can you help me?

I actually put them in the chicken soup from time to time- my husband and daughter like them. I think they make the soup salty and the texture is rubbery des[ite hours of slow cooking.

I love gizzards in soup! My mom laughs at me (in a loving way) that I must be descended from peasant folk because I love peasant food!

Come on over friday night- I have a huge vat of chicken soup and some gizzards for the hubby and daughter. I just hate the texture- I imagine its the same texture as squid or octopus. UGH!

My husband once bought gizzards. He cooked them so I'm not 100% sure what he did but he put a lot of spices and cooked it for quite I long time if I remember correctly. They were surprisingly delicious.

Thank you everyone for your help!I am off to clean them!
Can you also post some more specific recipes?
Can I put them in a crockpot for a Shabbos day meal? Or would I be better off using them for Friday night?
(We do very little fleishigs during the week.)

Serve them Friday night on a platter at the same time that you serve the soup.
I think putting it in the crockpot for shabbos day may be cooking it too long.

We love them, but only well cooked. I pressure cook them for an hour and then add them to the chicken soup.

I also use them in chicken soup. I cook mine in a pressure cooker and put them in at the same time as the chicken frames and only cook once the pressure comes up for approx. 30 to 40 minutes and they're usually fine.

I rinse and cook in cholent. It is so soft by Shabbos lunch time. My whole family enjoys gizzards.
I've cooked it in vegetable soup and chicken soup as well, though we all like it best when it's cooked for a long time on a low flame.
