He's had moccasins till now but he's really active and loves to run around outside and I think it's time for something sturdier. What's really cute? He's wearing leggings most days which look adorable with the moccasin. I don't like most of the typical shoes I see for sale (oot).
Thank you!

Do you want dressier or casual?
Venettini seems to be one of the go to brands. They have adorable dressier booties and some simple ones.
You can get chukka style boots, UGG or another brand. Those look adorable with leggings, but not so shabbosy (if you are only gonna get one pair)
Sneakers are in style too. I've seen some adorable high top ones with white bottoms.
Personally, I go with the better fitting shoes for the first pairs. A lot of the shoes aren't so sturdy and do not hold the foot well.

chukka style shoes/boots seem to be in, I see laces most often but velcro is cute as well. the naturino ones seem to be both practical and fashionable.

The brand Old Soles has really cute booties. My toddler son wears them with leggings and they look adorable. I got them in a store in Lakewood, but they sell them on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d....._QL65

Thank you all for your help. I definitely want to buy just one pair of shoes for him--so I guess booties or chukka rather than sneakers.
Looked around but I'm wondering if I have a sizing issue... His feet are really tiny. His (Freshly Picked) moccasins are just a size 3. The Old Soles and Campers I see start in larger sizes only. Maybe I need to get his feet measured, maybe they're bigger than I think.
Thank you all for the links... Looking at them now.
Oh, another factor... We live somewhere warm. So can't really do Uggs or lined booties.

Maybe I'm mistaken, maybe I can/should keep him in mocs a little while longer? I hadn't considered changing other than the fact that he's getting holes in them.
What do you think? He's 18 months old.

Amother Ginger, can you describe what you saw at Saks? It must be gone by now but I'm so curious...

Are there any shoe stores in town where you can get him fitted?
If he is walking he should be getting shoes with a good sole.

Do y'all think that $50+ is a reasonable amount for a toddler shoe?? That seems crazy expensive to me!
