Light brown water

I have light brown water coming from the bathtub. Is it same to bathe in it? It seems to come only from the hot water tia

Can you let it run for awhile? When did it start? Have you been regularly using it?

I had a few weeks in a row and I called 311 they told me it is safe.

I let it run for a while it's just light brown
I have a separate shower so we don't use it often

If this occurs all the time, it is probably rusty pipes in your building. It is safe but disgusting. If it is a sudden onset, it could be a broken main. It might not be safe.

You can let it run and/or get a filter. We had this in my parents' house. The water felt "drying" to me.

I noticed this several months ago but forgot about it.
Now I wanted to use the bathtub and remembered
