My slow cooker has 3 settings; high, low and warm.

I prepared a meat dish, searing the meat quickly in a pan first then transferring it to the slow cooker with water but in my haste I put the setting on "warm" instead of one of the other two options.

It was 4-5 hours before I realised, and the meat had not cooked through at all, it was completely raw inside just like when I'd left it.

Do I need to throw the whole lot out?

If it's pieces of meat and not ground meat you can just continue cooking it.

It's cubes of beef but why would it be different than if it was ground meat?

Ground meat is very different when it comes to being raw or being left out at room temperature. Dangerous.

I wouldn't eat it ..... raw meat on the warm setting for so many hours is risky ..... It is warm enough for bacteria to grow but not hot enough for it to die ....

Thanks for the replies, I tossed it :-(

There I was trying to get ahead and prepare 3 meals at once for my family and the whole lot goes in the trash...

Uuggghh so frustrating.

You have a great opportunity though here. Accept the situation as Hashem's will. Totally ave completely.

This will reap you immeasurable rewards. It's happened anyway now, so you may as well get the benefit.
