Ugh, I hate when people skip dessert or try to get away with fruit.
I never understood the "too heavy" thing. No such thing in my book. I want something sweet and decadent!

I wouldn't chose only one of the options to serve. I would put cake, fruit, ice cream and many other things to give the guests the choice.
