Hi! Buying velvet yarmulke and new tzitzis for a 4th grade boy who is a little on the huskier side, but not too much above average. What size would you get of each?

I would say a size 6 of both.
My third grade son wears a five tzitzit and they are roomy. He has a large head and wears a 5a kippah.
Hope this helps.

Yarmulkes really need to be tried on.
Can you find out what size he is? My dh wears a 4 (and it covers almost his whole head)and my 6 year old wears a five.
It all depends on the size and shape of the head.

then ask ... because you can have an older kid with a tiny head & a younger kid with a large skull
similar with tzitzis & body type vs age
