I'm looking for a decent fleishig place in Lakewood that's not too expensive, but not too much of a takeout place. Where they serve your food on a plate with a fork, and not wrapped to go using plastic.
Its for anniversary so I am willing to travel a bit.
So tell me your favorite places, the price range, type or style of food, and what you would recommend there.
Tia.

What's the price like at entree? From the looks, it see mighbt be out of our budget. We really like Carlosw and Gabbys, but I heard that they closed. Can anyone confirm that?

We were at Carlos and Gabby's for the first time a couple weeks ago. Would be very disappointed to hear they've closed!

I will be happy to hear I'm wrong. My husband heard that they're closing. Does anyone know any information if they will be closing?

Dunno if c and g is closing.
But I can vouch for entree!
Expect to pay 26-30 for a chicken entree, and 40-60 for a steak entree.
They also have soups (I think in $7 range), salads, and lots of appetizers. Drinks are on the house. A tip will be included in your final bill.

Delicious food.

OP really has to define expensive. If you go to entree you are spending at least $70 - 80. Its hard to know what her range is unless she defines what she would like to spend max.

D'Lux and get a PuPu Platter (if you like that food). Not the fancy ambience but its fun meal choice.

We used to go the Taco place for a fun nice night out that wasn't expensive -and the seating was great - now that they are gone we haven't found an alternative for a cheap night out. We don't like Carlos and Gabbis and we don't want to spend $50 (besides the cost of the babysitter).

What type of food do you like - you are going to think I'm NUTS - but what about R&S? Its private because no one thinks to go there.

Dougies in deal ?

There is also a chinese place in Deal - I don't remember the prices.

What about Snap's - I was never there . (never mind, looks like takeout on plastic plates)

Snaps is very good if you don't need a real restaurant with waiters and all.
