ISO recipe-chicken with Orzo underneath-1 Pan Dinner

I used to have a recipe - it was for chicken on the bone, cooked in a sauce, with orzo underneath. You put some water in the Orzo, and then it all cooked together. I remember the orzo got all soft and spiced from the chicken sauce, and it was a really good supper that you could toss in and forget for a while.

Anyone have that recipe or something similar?

Stovetop Chicken and rice -
Sauté onion add a red pepper. Once sautéed add chicken skin down. Spice it to taste. After about 15 minutes turn chicken and spice the other side. Add rice around chicken with water. Cook another hour and fifteen minutes or until done.

Or sliced potatoes/ sweet potatoes and onions.
place chicken on top. Spice to taste. Add a little water.
Bake 350 for two hours

All of these sound great - going to try them.

The recipe I'm looking for is where you bake the chicken and orzo in a pan on like 350. Does anyone know that one?

You can make like you would chicken and rice. With chicken legs and orzo underneath for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The orzo gets sticky and needs to be eaten right away but is really delicous. Or uncovered with thick chicken cutlets for about 40 minutes.

I made this with pearled couscous underneath and it was AWESOME. Thanks.
