I went there too.
There were no "far LW" girls in that school...

I teach there, and I can assure you, there are, but not more than two or three per grade. on the whole, though, bnos bais yaakov is a fantastic school where they care a lot about each girl. Ihave to say the amount of individual care and concern that goes into each girl is astounding. The new principal has provided a whole new energy and is really shaping the school into a top tier place.

When do the first round of acceptance/rejection letters go out? What happens after that?

You have a while. They're still interviewing.

It's been different by the year (and how many girls need interviewing, and how fast that process goes) but IME acceptance letters generally went out either right before or right after Pesach.

See my post on page 3 of this thread.

Also...alot of times, a "bad" name is illusory....there can be great girls going there. But sometimes, unfortunately, if a school does not have a good reputation, students won't apply there if they can get in elsewhere, and they end up with students that other schools did not accept.

I don't think that is accurate of this school though....I know people who chose to go there and love it. I've met some super-refined, smart, intelligent students from BBY.

Keep in mind that in Lakewood, the Vaad works at placing students, and at the end of the day, every school has to step up to the plate and accept a number of students that were not accepted without the Vaad's help. This keeps every school having a certain mix, to some extent.
