What sort of steak do you have?
When you say you want to make it in the oven do you mean broil it quickly under the fire or bake low and slow in the oven?

Marinate in olive oil, crushed garlic and kosher salt. If your broiler works well, broil the steaks for about 5 minutes on each side.

This is how we make our steaks. Rub in olive oil, salt, pepper, and Montreal Steak Spice on both sides. Sear on a very high flame for approx 3 min each side. Preheat oven to 450 and bake for a few min. You can also sauté onions and mushrooms and serve on top. Delicious! We just had it tonight. Make sure that the steaks you buy have an even distribution of meat and fat. Enjoy!
