Has anyone ever heard of knock knee?
Ds 12 has been complaining for a while that his feet hurt. From pain in knee, to pain in ankle. He grew a lot over the past few months so first we blamed it on growing pains.
However after a while we saw the pain isn't going away, he is able to walk normally. So we took him to our GP.
GO ruled out that he has something called knock knee. Basically his knees are going inwards. So when he stands straight with knees closed his ankles don't touch.
Doctor took some blood work and said we'll first wait for results. Results came in and he's lacking vitamin D.
Doctor said he should take vitamin D and if it's not better after a while he'll see a physio.
Anyways he's been taking the vitamins for over a week and the pain has just gone worse. Doctor refuses to refer him to a orthopaedic doctor.

We already decided to go to an orthopaedic doctor privately. We don't wanna play with ds growing feet.

We'll probably take him to a doctor or hospital tomorrow but for now I wanna know if anyone has some experience.

Google says its usually common by younger children.

(Pardon my English, not my first language. )

The doctor was talking about rickets, if so vitamin D is a good start but definitely take him to the orthopedist, he could need braces or even surgery. Good luck!

Speak to a pediatric podiatrist. May be internal femoral torsion. They gave dc a gait plate orthotic for it that helped a lot.

There is more than one underlying cause of knock knee - see an orthopedist to determine whether it is actually knock knee and what the underlying cause is. Then, ask the orthopedist to refer you to physical therapy.
