How do you kasher a new crockpot? I just bought a new one after many years and I'm not sure what to do. Thanks!!

If it's brand-new, why would you need to kasher it?

Do you mean toivel? I do the ceramic insert and the glass/metal lid. I don't toivel the actual machine because it never touches the food.

Thanks! I meant the stoneware part and glass lid. I guess I don't have to do anything which is great!

If it is new you do not need to kasher it (you don't need to kasher anything brand new other than maybe something pre-seasoned), but you do still need to tovel it.
