I noticed the other thread and I was thinking about how in the previous 10-12 years, I would be jumping on that thread to express my stress, fear, anger, sadness etc, and I just realized that B'H, this year I am in a totally different place and while I can't say I'm looking forward to Purim (still way too much noise, stress, way out of my comfort zone) but I'm at peace with it coming. It's a good feeling.

Make it a day where you treat yourself.
Prepare the Seuda in advance and freeze
Don't forget lunch and Monday meals.
Keep the meal as simple as possible.

Schedule a cleaning lady for Monday, if you can't afford start saving from now.

Get up very early on Purim day and go to a Megillah reading

Tell your kids that this year costumes are going to be simple, get dressed and that's it, no painting faces etc.

Call your local girl's high school and see if you can get a girl to do chesed for 2 hrs on Purim. They do exist. Even though she's doing chesed give her A NICE MM, and a tip.

Schedule 1 hour forME TIME, and 1/2 hour for Seuda help from the high school girl, setting the table etc. Lock yourself in the room or leave the house. Do something you like, read, get a mani pedi, a massage, what ever you like. If you live OOT (like I do) go to the mall and sit in one of those massage chairs at B----, forgot the name of the store. Or just sit at the park and read.
Come back home and set up Seuda. Keep it simple, buffet of different casseroles and salad. Use disposable EVERYTHING

Casserole ideas
Chicken and rice
Sloppy joes with tatter tots on top
Baked beans and hot dog Cassarole.
Mousakka or meat lasagna (easy to freeze)

An easy Pasta dish

Green salad
Coleslaw

This year we change the clock on Purim night, so Sunday has 1 hr more of daylight.
