So we're down to 16 oz milk a day, but for real meals, what do you give? Someone suggested eggs (any way), rice cake with melted cheese, toast, grilled cheese, fish sticks. What else? Need more ideas!! Oh yeah noodles are already on the list. More ideas welcome!! I'm just not sure how big of a meal she needs? If we're having chicken and potatoes for dinner, should I be giving her chicken and potatoes (cut up, obv). Or something simpler? Thanks!

Babies can eat pretty much anything. If your baby is one, the only thing you have to worry about are choking hazards. For supper, you can give your baby whatever you are eating. Meals to send to babysitter ideas:

Soup
Avocado
Leftovers from supper
bread/sandwiches
oatmeal
cheese
crackers
applesauce

Chicken and potatoes are great. Also meatballs, soups, sandwiches, yogurts. Basically anything except many raw fruits, vegetables, and nuts which could cause choking.

My 2 year old loves soup with soup cookies (croutons). He sees us eating it and wants.

Fish sticks
French fries

We're dairy free.

this is what my 1 year old ate today:
breakfast: cereal (cheerios) and milk
snack: sliced pear
lunch: 3/4 whole wheat english muffin with melted cheese on it (cut into strips), cucumber (cut up into teeny tiny pieces), and a sliced softish apple
snack: cheese and apple slices
dinner: chicken chopped up small, rice, and edamame (halved)

I try to give him at least 2 veggies and 2 fruits a day. The fruits are pretty easy to get in, but I have to get creative with the veggies sometimes!

thinking of things others haven't mentioned yet: I have a couple of lentil recipes that he likes and the other day I made us pea soup for lunch which was a big hit.
