How close are you to them? How much are they hosting you (I.e. is it just you and your husband for one seder is it your family of 10 for the entire week)?

If you're going for the Sedarim, bring enough wine and shmurah matzah to cover your family, plus a hostess gift which could be wine and/or nuts. (The wine and matzah is standard in Israel, not sure about the US.)

I love gift arrangements with anything from salad spoon sets/serving dishes/netilas yadayim cup/nice kitchen towels/etc and you can choose any price range from $10 - $100 and theres no worrying about kashrus. I just make sure its exchangable.

Whatever good one purchases, there's always a risk that the recipient won't like or appreciate it.

I'm more inclined towards bringing consumables. Wine. Fruit. Candy. Flowers sent in advance.

For a long stay, a gift card to a local restaurant.

Or for this holiday, a lovely new Haggadah.

I see I posted this thread twice some how...
Im looking for 'something out of the box'.. different. These people dont need any thing. They bh have the means to buy what ever it is. This is more the 'thought'.
One year I did buy a few nice white urchatz towels... another year a noise machine... (as household can get very busy over yt) another time I bought an cilinder 'ice cream scoop' (if you can oucture what that is...it cuts/scoops cilinder shapes peices of ice cream...) all were appreciated...looking for something along thoes lines....

Jewish books! I never have anything to read, as I consider my books chamatzdik and just put them away. A few books to read from the judaica store!

Browse the MOMA store for ideas.

Not necessarily for Passover, but a great cake cutter:

Wine decanter
