I have a regular family insurance plan and heard from someone that I can get jersey care for my kids. Jersey care would pay for dental, therapy and copays. Does anyone know if I can take out Jersey care for them? How much would my income need to be below? Please advise. TIA

LRRC 942-9292 probably has the answers to your question.

I think officially the kids need to be off insurance for 3 months to get jersey care but there may be exceptions. Also, I heard that sometimes when you apply through the state (and NOT through the county office) they put the kids on even though they have other insurance.

I haven't heard of it being secondary insurance. We had a obamacare marketplace plan, but at some point, njfamilycare called & said our kids were eligible, so had to switch it to that. We have to pay small premiums, because it depends on income levels - see-

You can have Jerseycare as secondary insurance. LRRC can tell you income limits, which I think are different than if the insurance is your primary insurance.
