We're on a tight budget but I desperately need new spring coat/ jacket. I don't replace my wordrobe often, but when I do buy I like it to be somewhat of the current trend yet classy enough to continue wearing the next few seasons. So what should I get? Cropped jacket? Bomber? 3/4 trench? Trench coat? Color?
I'm short and narrow frame but have a post partum stomach

Please don't get a bomber. They are really very cute but so so so trendy right now they will look ridiculous in a year.
Tan is good to match summer clothes on the other hand you would probably where a jacket in summer at night so black may work anyway.

I like tan but I don't buy it because of how quickly/often it would get dirty.

Yeah, that's cute and classy.
It depends on a lot of things: are you looking for a rain jacket? How old are you? Is it just another light layer or more like a very light accessory for fall/spring? What colors look good on you?

Bump. Can any fashionistas weigh in on my jacket? It looks great in me but I'm clueless about fashion embarrassed
I live in Brooklyn, so I need more than just a thin sleeveless vest at the beginning of spring.

If you just need something lightweight, I like this.

It's very nice, classic, nice color. Have you tried it on?

Thanks! It's a pretty jacket but I think I want a lighter color for the spring

Yes I did and it fits great. I'm just not sure if the 3/4 length is very outdated
