What socks are in for a 15 month old girl in the summer?

can I just put on white socks if the outfit is white and another colour?

I would go with white socks in the summer especially if the outfit has white on it. Its fresh.

If my dd (8 yrs old) has light grey shabbos shoes, what color sock for a navy and white shabbos outfit?

I officially stopped putting on socks for my baby. Unless he's wearing a footless stretchie and we're going out in the cold.
I find that at this age the babies pull 'em off instantly.

White socks are good. If its for shabbos, go with a thinner sock, not a fold over.
For the eight year old, either white or light grey ankle socks, or if she's in knee socks I'd do light grey.
Non walking babies usually wear a slipper shoe without socks. They are cute and stay on the foot better than socks. If they are really young, they can go barefoot.

I see no mention of sneakers ... just a toddler
nobody wears white socks every day ... so I imagined shabbos & sandals sans socks
