I was under the understanding that the TAP grant ends up being close to the amount that one is eligible for getting from FAFSA. However when I got the email it seems im getting less than half of the FAFSA amount. Does that mean I filled something out incorrect or is there anyway to get it adjusted? Or was I just misinformed?

If you filled out a FAFSA form, you'll get a Pell grant too.

I know I'm getting pell. I was asking specifically about the TAP GRANT amount.

I think I misunderstood your question. Are you saying that you were under the impression that Pell (FAFSA) and Tap are around the same amount?
My TAP grant was always substantially less than my Pell.

Yes that's what I was told that they are not exactly the same amount but in the same general ballpark. Now I find out im being given less than half of the amount for TAP than pell is giving and I was wondering if maybe I filed out something incorrectly but it seems to me I was given incorrect info originally. Thanks for your help.

One of them entitles you to a 1098t form that you ask from schhol. It is good for accountant. (One of them is only 4 years . Used to be 5)
