I don't want to have to go out to the mall. I want somewhere closer. Any ideas?

Only direct from Apple. I've ordered from their website.
Even though there are "genuine" Apple products available on Amazon and elsewhere, beware that most are good knockoffs and you won't be able to tell until they start giving you issues.

I bought one from Amazon and had zero issues. It didn't say "genuine" anything, it was the Amazon Basics brand.

Check this out. I've bought monoprice cables for android which just cost a few dollars each. Wirecutter.com recommended these cables in 2015 & I've been buying them ever since.
There's a lifetime warranty on cables. I had a problem with one, called customer service & they shipped out a replacement.

I buy them from the dollar store down the road. They usually last longer than the Apple ones do, and I'm pretty rough on them.
