Anybody rented the Monsey (Forshay) Mansion?

I'm looking into renting the Monsey mansion advertised on KosherMansions. Has anyone rented (or stayed) in it? Looking for more information before I send someone to look it over.

I heard it's a dump but I'd love to see the old thread as dd's camp takes the kids there at a certain age.

Wow - this owner can't decide if he selling or not! I would be very very hesitant to book something for this place is too far out on the calendar. He keeps putting it on and off the market.

Im so surprised to hear this....the house is gorgeous...I mean I guess over recent years its been neglected in upkeep a little but a dump? Halvali my house should look like this dump.

People here might be confusing the 2 known Monsey rentals. One is a once beatiful but now neglected house and the other, as far as I know, is well maintained and beautiful. When posting reviews please specify which house you are referring to.

I don't know which one it is, so find out, but one of the known ones, the owner is very difficult to deal with. He lives on the property and rents out the rest of the mansion. He is on premises while you are (so no privacy if that was a concern).

It seems like there are two (or more) mansions in Monsey and one of them has bad reviews.
I don't think that is the Forshay one. Can anyone confirm? Has anyone been to the Forshay mansion?
