I have a relative in Israel who is in an old age home. She is not well and can hardly remember her name. She has been giving out many thousands of dollars to the people who work in the facility. It seems they are taking advantage of her. I can't seem to communicate this with any supervisor in the facility as there is a language barrier. I'd like to find out the legality of what's going on. Any recommendations of who to call would be appreciated. Thank you.

Are you in Israel? Do you know her doctor's name? Her doctor can assign her a social worker who will protect her interests. Does she have any other relatives nearby who can assume guardianship?

Contact The Shira Pransky Project at http://shirapranskyproject.org/contact/ They have many professionals in the legal and health care system who can guide you, and they are all Anglos.

She's in a nursing home and the main culprit is her social worker who has received over 10,000 from her in the last few months. The social worker simply says she has the right to receive gifts. I am in the states, and unfortunately we have no relatives in Israel. Thanks for your reply!

shock shock shock shock shock shock shock

Go to the last link I posted. It's Legal Aid. Contact them NOW! That social worker should be taken out and shot. Mad

My grandmother's cleaning lady "admired" a lot of family heirlooms and jewelry, and then hinted that she may not be interested in coming back to help anymore. My grandmother panicked, and let the woman take whatever she wanted over the course of several weeks. Once the good stuff was gone, the woman disappeared. Everything that was supposed to go to me and my sister was gone. EVERYTHING.
