Are there any frum people there? Or any of the condominiums along Jewel Avenue (or vicinity)? Do the units have kosher kitchens?

I don't have info for you. I just found it so funny to see this since I lived in kgh 20 yrs ago and I remember these apartments. There were no frum people there at the time (maybe some foreigners). Now I when I go back to visit I am amazed to see that the garden apartments all around kgh have frum people coming in and out of them. I remember that as kids we were afraid to walk on certain blocks that had garden apartments since there was a lower class - non jewish crowd that lived there. It's not like that anymore. It's really nice to see the frum people spreading out all over. Good luck to you!

Yea, there are a bunch of condominiums along that way but I've forgotten them except Georgetown Mews for some reason. I've heard that some units are right across the street from NYCHA projects so that may be a concern. I hope to get out to Queens again for Shabbos to walk around.

Lots of frum people live in Georgetown Mews when they are young and newly married. It's a transient community with people moving (let's say to North Woodmere) when it is time for them to buy a house. They start out there because it is close to the public transportation to the city (there is bus from Jewel to the train and you can get to Manhattan in under an hour).
My favorite coop development in KGH is Kew Village which is much prettier visually on the outside than Georgetown Mews because it's in a park-like setting. It is closer to Union Turnpike and the people who live in Kew Village take the bus from Union Tpke to the train, for a similar commute.

Hi,
I live in Georgetown Mews coop in KGH. I know quite a few young married couples that also live in the coop. It's right near shuls, yeshiva, kosher restaurants and everything jewish. The coop only has 2 bedrooms the most, so many of the young married ones moved once they were expanding their families. But I'm still here...
