Hi. I haven't been around much but I'm back.... so daughter (8) was diagnosed with dyslexia by a developmental pediatrician based off evals a psychologist did. We already have a very small iep- a bit of ot, pt and 3 hours of P3 that was given before the diagnosis. Where do I go from here- we are in Brooklyn.

You can advocate for the DOE to increase the P3 and specify that it needs to be with a reading specialist (which then opens your door to ask for enhanced rate since you won't find a reading specialist at regular rate.) Or you can look for one privately or through your school, which will be considerably more expensive but potentially more efficient.
You also make sure that she is in a school with a strong reading intervention program. Sorry I don't know enough about Brooklyn schools in this regard. There are a couple of schools that specialize in dyslexia but I'm not sure if you're looking for that route or sticking with mainstream.
