Anyone knows of a good doctor for my newborn who has a tongue tied, my doctor recommends I should clip the tongue.

I would prefer in Brooklyn.

Dr. Scott Siegel is number one for this. He did a masterful job on my 2-week-old and even gave me his cell number to call anytime with questions or concerns. I've heard his name multiple times since then as being the top doctor for this problem.

I took my baby to Dr. Linda Dahl, ENT in Manhattan. It was a shlep, but worthwhile.

Until what age do these doctors do the procedure? Will they only do it for a newborn/infant, or also for somebody older? DH never had it done, and his dentist recently told him he should consider it.

Dr. Lazar did my son at a week. Quick and precise. He's four now and doing great. At the time PA Baila was training to do it.
Don't know if they take outside patients.

I recently had a boy and when mohel came to my house to look at baby he asked how the birth was and what did the dr say. I mentioned he has tounge tie but is sucking nicely so I don't know if I have to cut. He gives one look, and says yes. Better before the Bris, I will do it for him. He took out his tools and I left the room because I was so scared he will scream. It took a second!!!! No wonder he's the best mohel in town!! I'm so glad I mentioned it to him.

I did my baby's clipping w sara dvorkis...shes located in bp and does an efficient job.

I used Dr. Anthony Vastola, 919 49th St (718) 283-6260. He did it when my daughter was a week old. Its a very simple procedure I'm usually very pro running to the best doctor but for this it's so simple I think anyone can do it. it's literally one snip and I was able to nurse my baby right away.
