so this child was not home fro 3 days. I went on vacation. never has had any poop accidents. is this normal? he doesnt go for number 1 very often and wets himself but he never pooped in his pants. this is beyond horrible. I dont know if I should just choke it up to not being home.
have you had a child do this?

Being away from home makes a big difference. I wouldn't worry about it, especially since it hasn't been a regular thing. Try not to show your child how upset you are. Just clean it up, remind him to use the toilet, and move on.

Is he having diarhea? It might be a stomache bug etc and he really couldn't help it.

Some kids have that when they are constipated and have immature bowels. It can start around that age.

This recently happened to my six year old (and he doesn't otherwise have accidents). We were visiting family out of town, he was very tired, and it just happened.
Don't make a big deal of it in front of the child, just clean and move on. Maybe even mention it can even happen to adults if you're sick. If it happens again bring it up to the doctor.
