We are going to Israel iYH in November without any kids. We don't even have a clue where to start planning. Can anyone whose been there (or lives there) tell me some great places (preferably in yerushalayim) to visit. Would love to do a mixture of "fun things" and "holy things".
Also any tried and true great restaurants.
Thanks!!

In Yerushalayim, start with the old city. Definitely take the tunnel tours and go to Ir David. You'll be right near the restaurants at Mamilla, too.

A mix of fun and history: the sifting project. You need reservations for the Begin museum, but it's very good.

Also if you can get to Gush Etzion, start in Bet Lechem, go to the museum at kfar Etzion, to be followed by the zip line, maybe Jeeping, then Chevron. (That's too much for one day, but it's all close to Yerushalayim.)

Please do not go to BetLechem - apart from Kever Rachel. It is not safe.

Are you hiring a car? or using busses?

And if you want a great restaurant in Gush Etsion, they just opened a Mehadrin eat place called Japan Japan. Sushi and Asian food. We went tehre last night. Delicious

The Temple Mount sifting project is now closed. Sad Sad
Which is a shame -- it is a great activity.

Check out the Temple Institute in the Old City. You'll be glad you did!
