I've never heard of this, but would be very interested in more info about who goes, when, and where they stay.

We've went a few times. But never seen Chasidim there. Or any other large group of frum people. One time we saw a frum couple from the Midwest and once we saw a few single young women and another small group of yeshiva boys (separately lol).

It's one of the most beautiful places in the United States. My husband and I go there to cycle in the gorgeous scenery (love those carriage roads in Acadia!) but there is also plenty of hiking. Group or no group definitely go! I'd say it's not the ideal place for families with very young children since there's not much to "do" outside of hiking /cycling. If you're okay with just enjoying the beautiful scenery and taking some slow walks on the carriage roads then it might be nice. My husband and I go without our kids since even our teenagers (girls lol) are not the "active" "outdoorsy" type.

there is a kosher breakfast there and they do sometimes have a minyan in the area in the summer but that's about it.

We went last summer as a a family. Absolutely gorgeous, great hiking. We met a few other jews, but no large group. We went with our kids (youngest was 4), and they love the hiking just as much as we do. There are also tidepools, biking, water activities, etc. And the weather is amazing.

SIL and DD have a store there, on Main Street, open only in the summer months.
In the past 5 yrs, there is a group of Chasidim that go to the store to complete minyan.
SIL, doesn't have a contact to find out when the group is coming.
They stay about a week.
We were planning to visit them for 2-3 days, but DH needs to make sure there is minyan everyday.

I remember when we were there about 5 years ago, DH mentioned that he walked into a gift shop and absentmindedly put up his hand to kiss the mezuzah, and was stunned to realize that the store really had a mezuzah! Is that your children's store?
