Is anyone able to share a super quick and super easy meatball recipe? Not sweet and sour.
If one pot, then even better!
Thanks

This is mine, I don't have exact amounts.

Saute an onion in oil.
Add 2 cans tomato sauce and 2 cans of water
If making a lot of meatballs and need more liquid use tomato juice.

Add lemon juice (3-4 T)
Salt
Pepper
Garlic powder
Onion powder
1/4 C brown sugar

Meatball mixture
2 lb meat
3 eggs
1/4 c bread crumbs
1/4 C brown sugar
4-5 T ketchup
garlic powder
black pepper
onion powder
salt

I cook for about 1.5 hours

1 lb. chopped meat
1/4 C flavored breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 tsp. onion powder

Mix together. Make balls, place in disposable square pan. Pour your favorite marinara sauce over. Bake at 350 for 1 hour.

Make spaghetti or rice to serve with. Cut up some veggies....voila. Dinner made easy.

If you want something really quick an easy without buying fancy sauces etc. and using one pot, this is what I do:

Empty a can of tomato puree into a pot, season however you want, (if not sweet and sour (why not??!!) then do Italian herbs or something) and dilute with a little water. This is your sauce. Bring to a boil and simmer. Meanwhile:

Mix meat with and egg and some breacrumbs or matza meal until just firm enough to roll. Season however you want (onion powder/garlic powder/paprika work well). Roll into balls, add to the sauce and simmer covered for 45 mins.

change it up for meat sauce ... now it's quick & easy ... no fillers needed - just flavour & pasta

saute/brown chopped meat in pan
along with onions, garlic
& spices: garlic powder, black pepper, oregano

then pour jar of marinara sauce - add some more spices
[I add spanish olives at this point - muy delicioso Tongue Out ]

serve over boiled pasta & voila

sorry you need 2 pots & a knife - beer is negotiable

The ground meat needs longer than an hour when baked covered because it takes a while for the sauce to heat through and only then does the meat start cooking.
Bake the meatballs in one layer uncovered for 25 minutes so you know the meat is cooked through then add sauce and continue baking until sauce is bubbling.
If you have more time and prefer to just leave it in the oven, you can just bake it all together in the sauce, covered, for almost 2 hours.

I heat the sauce in the oven while forming the meatballs and then cook them in the oven for about 1.5 hours I think

I make a basic tomato sauce by sauteeing onions, garlic, any veggies you like (mushroom, pepper etc|) Add chopped tomatoes, puree and italian herb mix. Or use jarred. Meanwhile form meatballs and bake in oven for about 20 minutes. Cook pasta while you are doing this.
