I would like to try to make a cake for my babies first birthday cake smash. I want to make the frosting turquoise but I am not sure which food colorings I need to achieve that color. Can anyone help me?
I would try the giant cupcake with rosettes, are there any tips I should know before I attempt this.
Also does anyone have a good frosting recipe I can use?

I did turquoise once, I think I mixed blue and green. I just experiment in small amounts and then try to do more of what I did when I liked the result.

If you are using drops, start with 3 green and one blue. Mix it very well before adjusting as needed. Blue is a stronger color and turquoise is more green than blue.
Are you matching the cake to an outfit? Keep it nearby to get the shade right.

Use gel food coloring if you want any darker than a light pastel turquoise- you'll need fewer total drops and it will mess with the texture of the frosting less.

And paste is even better. But drops are the most common.

Wilton makes a whole range of paste colors. I've no idea if they are kosher though. You may want to check into them.
