do not derail threads. when someone asks a question and includes a set of facts - don't challenge the facts. If a fact is missing - asking for it isn't a crime.

Don't turn a question into a halachic / chumra discussion when that not what the OP is asking.

Don't comment that you just 'don't understand' something when what you really mean is 'what you are doing makes no sense to me - and I'm judging you for it - you are wrong'.

Respect your fellow amothers. It's ok to disagree, but it should not be done in a derogatory way.
In addition, if you really had Respect, you wouldn't need to do a way with the hug button because it would only be used in it's rightful place when a fellow amother is dealing with a difficult situation.

I've thought this for a long time. Like on fb. I also feel like it would promote good will on the site as well as cut back the anonymous passive aggressive "you're an idiot" hugs.

Delete posts by amothers who post anon for no reason.

Reveal the screen names of those who post anonymously to be nasty.

Send everyone a rubber arm with a fist on the end to attach to the computer that automatically dongs you on the head if you bump up an old post, with increasing velocity the more you do it. I should totally invent that.

Automatically lock threads after no one posts for one month. I hate it when someone comments on a 7-year-old thread. If they want to revive it, they can add a link in a current thread.

I don't think it needs to be automatically locked, but maybe a notification can come up when you try to respond to a thread that's been inactive for a certain amount of time

I'm not saying where I'm holding on this, I just think these are worthy topics.

I just want to once again express my continued amusement that there are some topics which are forbidden, but not mentioned in the site rules.

I also wonder what "MO concerns" are "more serious than the MO forum" but perhaps even saying what they are would break The Unwritten Law so I won't find out unless I break it. Perhaps not even then, my post might softly and silently vanish away.

I also am surprised to hear that #4 is forbidden because when I searched for the two words together I found a number of posts about just that in unlocked threads. But if they were, would that mean that Jews wouldn't allowed to take their sheep?
