$250 for groceries per week. Plus $400 a month in Costco. That makes it $350 a week for a family of 6. (7 but I'm breast feeding so not counting the baby)

Family of 5 (one is baby though) I spend between 250 and 300 a week. That does not include Costco which dh does. I can spend less some weeks though. (This also includes somethings I make for others)

Family of 4 can have hugely different meanings.

Can be 2 adults and 3 kids under the age of 5. Or it can be 2 adults and 3 growing teenagers.

Not to mention the huge range in how much people eat in general.

Some families are really small eaters and some are very large eaters (and it has nothing to do with weight, either).

There's no one right answer.

I have a family of 7 and seem to spend about 250 a week. 3 kids get school lunches. But from this post I don't feel too bad about it.

Family of 8, I spend about $500-$600 per week. Some prepared food but most things I make from scratch. I take out pizza once a week, for about $40
I also spend about $100 per month on disposables (plastic plates, cups, cutlery, baking pans, etc).

Family of 7 kah. About 150-200 per week, including costco. (I go to costco every 2-3 months, but I am dividing the bill up over all the weeks).

But this isn't counting school lunch, which we pay for separately and I don't recall the cost at the moment. And we also get WIC, which is worth about $150 for the month, about (the state I am in doesn't pay for as much as other states).

We do shabbos relatively simply and I don't buy much nosh, etc.

However, this is for a normal week. If yuntif is approaching in the next month and I am cooking, the bill skyrockets.

Also, some kids never stop eating, like my little son. He is tiny, but he eats tons. Other kids don't eat much. If you feed your kids healthier things like fruits and yogurt, that costs more than junk... so there is so much variety in many areas.

Family of 6 kah. About $250 per week. $150-200 when we're on WIC. Kids are not big eaters. They get lunch in school.

Nursing babies totally count! I probably eat double when I'm nursing.
