We are traveling to Israel for Succos and would like to stay at the Kinar or Lavi ( unless someone has another suggestion). I would like to know which of the hotels would one recommend. How would you rate the rooms, food and entertainment for children? My husband appreciates the finer things. In other words, we are not looking to rough it! Please respond with any thoughts or suggestions.

I was in Kinar recently ( not succos) , I wasn't crazy over rooms. I was in Lavi, they have renovated rooms and I liked it much better, (that was a few years ago, not succos)

I'd say that lavi is more upscale.

Lavi is much nicer than Kinar, but you're not at the Waldorf. Nir Etzion is somewhere in the middle. I think only Lavi has activities for kids. I've stayed at all three, but never over Sukkos. I think you have the option of a sleeping sukkah on your balcony at both Kinar and Lavi.

If your husband likes nicer things go for Lavi. It has a nicer feel. They both have activities for kids and food for kids at every meal. The nice thing about the Kinar is that it has both the pool and the beach so everyone always has swimming hours. To give you an idea we prefer Lavi for Shabbos but this summer we are going to The Kinar during the week.
