I live oot and want to know what the trendy crowd in bklyn would wear to a lchiam and what they would wear to a vort? How dressy do I need to be?

Bump, help pleaseeeeeee. What do you wear if you go to one? How dressy or not dressy ? Like brooklyn bris? Shabbos shul? Work? Bar mitzvah? I don't know what's appropriate? Heels only? Flats? Dressy boots?

Depends on the crowd, your relation to the family and when the event is being held.
Your fancy Nancy sister making a huge vort in an hall..get out your finest Shabbos gear.
Your down the block simple neighbor making a vort in their living room, add lipstick and run over,

For a l'chaim in the house, standard shabbos or party weekday clothes. For a vort in a hall, good shabbos or low key simcha clothes.
