How much do day camps typically pay (the actual teacher - not the assistants) for preschool age?

It really varies by camp and location, but many camps throw in reduced (or free) camp tuition for one (or more) campers

Sounds about right. It's often easier for a camp to throw in an extra free camper than more money, which is valuable to the teacher anyway. I've seen $2000 range with free campers, not sure what the limitations of that would be because the people I know who have done it (including myself) only had 1-3 kids in the camp. Very good deal on both ends; if I had a better-paying job half my salary would go to childcare anyway, and the camp pays for everything in bulk anyway so what's a couple more staff kids. And don't forget tips.

I have the same question. I'm looking for a day camp morah position in brooklyn and am wondering what to answer when they ask what I'm looking to get paid. Also in general is the pay for working in a boys camp the same as a girls camp?

The camp was $2000. And I got half off a second camper after that. And $1000 in tips. NY camps make the parents tip.
