I had a good mommy day.

I took a 20 min nap during the day when I couldn't keep my eyes open. Yay for me!

I read a little when I was feeling depleted. Yay for me!

I went on a brisk walk around the block bec I was in the mood. Yay for me!

I ate three meals today. Yay for me!

I took care of my children's mother and I am so proud of myself!

So I just wanted to give a shout out to all of the mothers who do or don't take care of themselves that you matter.

I posted this as my part of my journey in learning how to truly care for and love myself.

You are an inspiration to me. I should have done all of those things today and didn't. I am probably clinically depressed due in part to not taking care of my children's mommy. I will try harder tomorrow...

I cannot love your post enough.

It is so important to take breaks, rejuvenate, eat proper meals.

Thank you for this wonderful post.

Thanks!!
I opened this thread afraid that I'll find someone who played with her kids basketball or did who knows what.
And here I see what a real food mommy day means! I appreciate you!

good for you! you deserve it cuz if you wont take care of yourself no one will and you and your kids and your family will suffer as goes to each and everyone one of us....so keep it up! its healthy for everyone!

I also love your post. It's so hard to take care of everyone else when running on empty. I feel that way right now. This is for every mother - especially those who are the most self-sacrificing - you mean something too, you deserve to treat yourself like a person!

Good for you!
I started going to the gym 3x a week while dh does bedtime. When they ask me where I'm going I say, with a smile, "I'm going to the gym to exercise and keep my body healthy so I can have energy and be a good mommy. Love you, good night!" (Doing mommy camp this year, so it means more now I think).
