If your elementary age kids were in a school that in general you/them are happy with but puts a huge financial struggle on the family would you switch to a school where tuition is less? Yes, it's a big difference not just a few hundred dollars. The new school is relatively new, but tuition is much lower. Trying to be logical for academic, social and financial areas.
